Join ANIMA Investment Network and support economic development of the Mediterranean
Since November 2006, the main Mediterranean Investment Promotion Agencies (IPA) have created a common structure aiming at sustaining and amplifying the work initiated with the ANIMA programme since 2002. The association ANIMA Investment Network is open to every IPA, Enterprise, Organisation and People interested in the economic development of the Mediterranean. Individual members can join the association directly on line. For IPA, professionals, international organisations or companies working in the Mediterranean, there are more extensive co-operation offers (ANIMA club, partnership, sponsoring etc.

LEADING NEWS
ANIMA 5th annual conference held in Marseille on the 30th May 2007 .
The ANIMA community is expected for the 5th and last ANIMA annual conference that will take place on 30th May 2007 in Marseille, France. The European Commission, institutional sponsors (local communities), MEDA and European Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) as well as international investors and media representatives will attend the event.
Cyprus creates a One-Stop Shop for the enterprises
The Government of Cyprus has set up in Nicosia (April 2007) a One-Stop-Shop for local and foreign based companies. The Government has adopted this institution with the aim of facilitating, accelerating and simplifying the process of setting up a business.

Agadir agreement opened for other Arab countries of the Mediterranean basin
The agreement which currently gathers Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia, remains opened to all the Arab countries of the basin. Its objective is notably to “balance the effect of globalisation and the extension of multinational corporations” according to Salem Khazaaleh the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Syria– BANK - Foreign banks allowed owning 60% of a joint venture – Governor of the Central Bank of Syria confirmed that the foreign banks will be allowed to increase their shareholding in joint venture banks from 49% to 60%.

ANIMA will participate to the 9th edition of the Forum de Carthage organised by FIPA/ Invest in Tunisia. The topic of this year event is “Industrial Internationalisation and Outsourcing of Services”.
