The Royal Scientific Society and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen scientific research in kea areas of strategic value to Jordan's long term competitiveness and development.

RSS and UN-Habitat will collaborate to promote sustainable urban development and governance, affordable housing, energy, water and environment through research and development, know-how transfer, capacity building and technical assistance. This collaboration aims at promoting Jordan as an incubator of knowledge creation and knowledge transfer across the Arab countries.
