According to Ankara, the privatisation process may generate at least US$10.4bn of revenue this year. But for some analysts, the figures may be underestimated.

According to the authorities, the electricity distribution network will be privatised in 2010. ‘Tenders for electric distribution companies serving four regions (Camlibel, Firat, Uludag and Vangolu) will take place in February, with tenders for three other regions to take place in June’, Invest in Turkey reveals.
