According to ANSAmed:
"Deloitte Turkey drafted a report titled Private Equity in Turkey according to which the country has benefited from the strong growth in venture capital, Zaman newspaper reports. A large amount of global capital, due to an increase in oil prices, is the most important cause of the exponential increase in venture capital. The report said the flow of venture capital to Turkey gained momentum with the start of negotiations between Turkey and EU. "Since the beginning of 2006 it has now reached its peak potential with USD2.5 billion in investment in 15 firms," the report said."
