Mediterranean niches & sectors with high potential of job creation & growth
The southern and eastern Mediterranean countries (MED countries) need high GDP growth and job creation levels if they want to expand or diversify their economies, fight unemployment and address social unrest. These are crucial but difficult challenges, in the context of political changes wished or experienced by these countries. Using the 'job creation per Euro invested' ratio (data often available in the ANIMA observatory), the report identifies 10 promising niches, such as services to companies, and indicates the type of measures requested from the government side in order to boost these niches in the coming years.
