ENI CBC Med 2014-2020 - Briefing on the programme

Country: Euromed, Europe
Activity: Other or not specified

The general objective of the Cross Border Cooperation "Mediterranean Sea Basin" Programme (ENI CBC Med) is to foster fair, equitable and sustainable economic, social and territorial development, which may advance cross-border integration and valorise participating countries’ territories and values.

It covers regions bordering the Mediterranean in 7 EU countries (Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain) and 6 Mediterranean Partner Countries* (Palestine, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia). Applicants and partners based in Lisbon region may apply only under Thematic Objectives A.1, A.2 and A.3. It is possible to involve partners based in regions adjoining the cooperation area in the limit of 20% of the project budget. Project activities should take place in the cooperation area except in duly justified exceptions.

* At present, only Tunisia, Jordan and Palestine have signed a Financing Agreement with the European Commission, thus allowing organisations based in their territory to be fully eligible under the calls for proposals and to receive ENI CBC Med funds.

The first call for (standard) projects has been launched on 18 July 2017. The deadline for the submission of project proposals is 9 November 2017 at 1:00 pm (GMT+1).

Please find below a briefing on the programme and the different calls for proposals.
