Organized by the African Leadership Academy and the Mastercard Foundation, it is open to young entrepreneurs who have developed and implemented innovative solutions to the social challenges of the African continent or started successful businesses within their communities.
The finalists will win an all-expenses paid trip to Johannesburg, South Africa, to be a part of a ten day long entrepreneurship workshop and conference at the African Leadership Academy campus. The Grand Prize winners, selected from these finalists, will share prizes worth USD 100,000. They will also benefit from mentoring, consulting and privileged access to the global leaders' network.
For its 7th edition, the Anzisha Fellow Programme has increased the number of finalists: 15 young people will fly to South Africa against 12 in previous years.
In order to be eligible to apply for Anzisha Prize, candidates must be from an African country, be between the ages of 15 and 22 and be a founder or founding member of a running company.
Applications are open until 1 April 2017.
