In the Mediterranean, entrepreneurs and innovators are busy creating the future to overcome major challenges in the region: access to resources, social inequalities and technological development. Initiated by ANIMA Investment Network in 2017 and supported by the European Commission, THE NEXT SOCIETY accompanies this movement of innovators shaping the future.

 

ANIMA Investment Network, Bpifrance and GreenFlex are joining forces to launch THE NEXT SOCIETY Club to involve large businesses and investors in these innovation dynamics in Europe, the Mediterranean, and Africa. On this occasion, they invite you to meet actors of this movement and other stakeholders interested in the innovation and impact creation potentials of Euro-Mediterranean markets. The event will take place at French Tech Central, Station F, Paris on 15 February 2018, 8.30 – 11.30 am.

Isabelle Bébéar, Head of International Affairs and Management Programs at Bpifrance

 

Isabelle Bébéar is Head of International Affairs and Management Programs at ‎Bpifrance. The French public investment bank has among its priorities to support French companies going international in Mediterranean and African countries. It has operated in the region for almost fifteen year through its investment and expertise activities. 

 

Mouhamad Rabah, the founder of Beirut Digital District (BDD)

 

Mouhamad Rabah is the founder of Beirut Digital District (BDD), a Station F neighbourhood-wide equivalent in Lebanon. After acquiring a global experience in business consulting in the energy, aerospace, and construction industries, he returned to Lebanon in 2005 and ventured into developing BDD, a Work, Live, Play innovative neighbourhood aiming to become the go to destination for the digital and creative community in Lebanon. 

 

 

 

Mokhtar Zannad, the founder and CEO of Aramis

Mokhtar Zannad is the founder and CEO of Aramis, a Tunisian industrial company with subsidiaries in Algeria, Morocco, Egypt and Libya. Originally from Tunis and an engineer graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris, he has created businesses such as Nielsen, which develops innovative waste management and recycling solutions. Nielsen is today the leader in Africa with more than 600 installations indifferently in small profitable green projects or big international companies.

 

Bénédicte Faivre-Tavignot co-founder and executive director of the HEC

 

Bénédicte Faivre –Tavignot is the co-founder and executive director of the HEC Paris Social Business Chair, and the HEC Paris Master of Science in Sustainable Development, as well as the executive director of the Society & Organizations Center, aiming to develop a new way of thinking at HEC on the role of business in society. Her research focuses on reverse innovation; the processes through which social businesses and Base of the Pyramid business models can be a lever for innovation and strategic renewal. 

 

 

Kamel Haddar, founder of the first start-up studio

 

Kamel Haddar is the founder of the first start-up studio, CasbahTech composed of 3 start-ups so far: iMadrassa.com, Algeria’s number one online learning platform Noor-Box.net, first e-commerce website specialised in beauty and well-being, and temtem.taxi, the Algerian Uber. Graduated from French business school ESCP Europe, he is also a software engineer and founded ATLAS (Algerian Talents & Leaders Association) based in Paris and Alger in order to create a new generation of leaders.

 

 

 

Emmanuel Noutary, General Delegate of Anima Investment Network

Emmanuel Noutary is the General Delegate of ANIMA Investment Network and the instigator of THE NEXT SOCIETY movement. He leads, through the ANIMA network, the economic cooperation between countries of the Mediterranean basin, and has initiated several initiatives to support the competitiveness and attractiveness of these countries. By launching THE NEXT SOCIETY in 2017 with the support of the European Commission, he also seeks to shed a new light on the southern Mediterranean countries and their potential.
 

 

 

Portrait of Saïd SEKKAT

 

Said SEKKAT has been the chair of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of CGEM (General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises) since 2012. Associate co-manager of the industrial carpentry company 10 Rajeb, and manager of the real estate company Les 3 Amis. He is also one of the advocates for a positive and operational CSR approach developed in Morocco since 2006 in order to involve companies in performance and innovation strategies.

Frédéric Rodriguez, President of GreenFlex, first established several companies and held senior management positions, in high technologies and rental management of computers parks, both in France and abroad. Convinced that companies must contribute positively to the transformation of the world by changing themselves, he founded GreenFlex in 2009 to accelerate the environmental and societal transition and address major challenges faced by companies, accompanying them from strategy to action, towards a more efficient future.

 

 

 

Portrait of Fabien Robineau

Fabien Robineau, founder of Tribe&Co, has been focused over the last two decades on Business Systems Design and Transformation. He is one of the pioneers of large scale collaborative, open, short iterative loops, ecosystem based programs for top 500 companies. At almost 50 years old, he describes himself as "an extremely lucky native Open Innovation, Transformation By Design, crowdsourcing and customer centric based strategy, collaborative, land&learn… you name it!, entrepreneur and consultant ».
